Even on cloudy days, our skin is susceptible to the sun’s harmful rays which can lead to skin discoloration, skin cancer, and wrinkles over time. YIKES! The biggest switch you can make in your daily skincare routine to help protect your precious skin is to apply sunscreen daily, especially in the mornings.

2. Try and avoid peak ray hours
Try and avoid peak sun hours which are typically between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. If you are out in the sun during these hours ensure that you have applied your sunscreen.
3. Seek Shade
You can try and seek shade under an umbrella, tree, or other shaded places. Staying in the shade can help reduce your risk of skin damage and skin cancer.
4. Cover up
You can wear long sleeves, long pants, and skirts that can help protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Tightly woven fabrics offer the best and most ideal protection. Try to cover up your feet. If you plan on being barefoot or wearing sandals, make sure you apply sunscreen to your feet.
5. Accessories
You can accessorize and throw on a floppy hat that shades your face, ears, and neck. Try to avoid straw hats that have holes for the sunlight to beam through. Throw on your favorite pair of sunglasses that block both UVA and UVB rays for the best protection. The bigger the glasses, the better!
