Ask this question because, in the med spa world, any physician (regardless of specialty) can step in as a med spa medical director. We don’t know about you, but while we may rely on them to treat elevated blood pressure, mend a broken arm, or save a life, they aren’t the first people we’d ask to inject Botox. Plastic surgeons and NP-Cs are required to stay up to date on all the latest treatments and procedures, understand the anatomy of both surgery and the aging process, identify risk factors for each patient, and have the right team around them at all times.
