Hyaluronic Acid filler is an injectable procedure that targets volume loss. Various facial concerns may be addressed with filler including adding volume to the cheeks, smoothing smile lines (nasolabial folds), plumping lips, creating chin projection, and filling in under-eye hollows. We carry 3 brands of dermal filler, including- RHA, Restylane, and Juvederm.
Unlike traditional hyaluronic acid fillers, Sculptra’s active ingredient is poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA), a biostimulatory aesthetic injectable that helps stimulate your own natural collagen production to smooth facial wrinkles, improve skin tightness, and gradually help restore skin structure and volume. Sculptra is commonly injected to address signs of aging, restore volume loss and improve texture and radiance of the skin.
How long do the results last for Sculptra vs. Filler?
Sculptra usually requires multiple sessions initially, followed by a maintenance treatment performed yearly. Sculptra treatments are preformed 5-8 weeks apart. Results with Sculptra can be seen as early as 1 month after treatment and lasting up to 2 years. However, HA filler can provide a more immediate result and an average duration of 10-15 months depending on the area treated or the filler used.
What areas can be injected with Sculptra vs. Filler?
Sculptra can be placed in the cheeks, temples, nasolabial folds, smile lines/submalar hollowing, and pre-auricular area. It may also be injected on the body to soften fine lines and strengthen crepey skin on the chest or neck, above the knees or elbows, or in the glutes. We do not place Sculptra in the lips, perioral lines, chin, and under eyes.
Dermal fillers can be used to increase volume in the cheeks, chin, and lips. As well as soften shadowing in the nasolabial folds, marionette lines, or under eyes.
Downtime is expected for both Sculptra and HA fillers, as bruising and swelling can be common post-procedure.
