Wash Your Face at Night
We get it, after a long day or night out no one wants to bother with taking off their makeup and doing a full nighttime skincare routine before plopping into bed. Sleeping in makeup can clog pores and can trigger breakouts. It is best to remove any makeup and then wash your face. Washing your face at least two times a day (morning and night) will help remove impurities and free radicals from the skin, helping dull skin look more vibrant.
Exfoliate
Our skinβs ability to regenerate itself is amazing! When we were kids, we were very grateful for this ability when we would fall and skin our knees and elbows. Unfortunately, as we age the skin rejuvenation process loses speed dramatically- kind of like our metabolism. Without this rapid turnover in skin cells, dead skin cells on the surface will start to build up and can create dullness. It is best to exfoliate a couple of times a week at most by using a mildly abrasive exfoliate to remove dead skin cells revealing brighter, healthier skin. Hydrate
The skin is the bodyβs largest organ. Your organs (and skin) absorb moisture when you drink water. Drinking plenty of water throughout your day can help reduce skin dryness and can also help with skin breakouts.
Get Enough Sleep
Yeah, we said it. Getting enough sleep is the most cost-effective anti-aging remedy (besides SPF of course) for getting glowing skin. Believe it or not, collagen production increases when you sleep which helps reduce dark circles under the eyes.
Donβt Forget To Relax!
Being constantly stressed out can be devastating to your skin (as well as your mental health/well-being, hair, and weight β you get the picture).
