The Sciton Halo™ is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser. It combines non-ablative (heating but not destroying the skin) and ablative (destroying the most superficial layers of the skin) wavelengths in a single pass to maximize results and control downtime. The Sciton Halo precisely targets years of skin damage such as discoloration, sun damage, uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, poor texture, scars, and fine lines and wrinkles. Our patients typically have 4-7 days of downtime and return to their everyday lives soon after.

What to expect after HALO treatment
It is completely normal to expect some swelling immediately after treatment, and the skin may feel hot to the touch for a few hours. Applying a cold compress and sleeping elevated for the first couple of nights can help alleviate any discomfort and can help reduce inflammation. Two to three days after treatment, you may begin to notice tiny dark spots coming to the surface. This is completely normal because these are bits of tissue that are working their way out while fresh, new skin is being regenerated. It’s normal for the skin to look crusted or bronzed in these areas as your skin continues to heal. Some peeling may also occur depending on the treatment aggressiveness and location of the treatment. This can last for up to a week on the face and up to two or three weeks on the neck and chest. You may experience itchiness during this process but it is very important not to scratch because it can lead to scarring and pigment changes. It is best to avoid working out/sweating or wearing makeup until your skin is fully healed. You should also avoid being in the sun for long periods of time and tanning for at least one to two months after the treatment. We highly recommend using Alastin Skin Nectar on your skin after your treatment to help with the healing process. It is designed to support the regeneration of healthy elastin and collagen, calm skin redness, and support optimal results of the treatment, Regenerating Skin Nectar is formulated using potent antioxidants and peptides to protect the skin barrier and reduce the appearance of redness as the skin heals after laser skin rejuvenation.
You will start to see skin improvement immediately after the healing process but it can take up to a month for the new collagen and elastin to form. Results differ based on treatment aggressiveness and the number of treatments. Once the healing process is complete, your skin will have a pink glow that will eventually subside. If you need more than one treatment, you can typically schedule them every four to six weeks.
