Daxxify is an FDA-approved neurotoxin created by Revance. Daxxify is injected into muscles to relax them which in turn treats dynamic lines and wrinkles that can form with facial expression. Like any neurotoxin, Daxxify is less effective for deep-set lines and texture changes. Daxxify is similar to other neurotoxins (such as Botox and Dysport) in the mechanism of action in terms of decreasing muscle movement and improving dynamic wrinkles. The difference between Daxxify and other neurotoxins is the duration, which can, on average last 6-9 months. Revance created Daxxify with a well-studied core neurotoxin but added a peptide, which is the key to its longer duration. The product will start to take effect over a few days, with full effect taking up to 2 weeks.
